Leaf Casting

This is a way to preserve your favorite leaves in a hands-on class making a concrete casting, a process that creates cement molds from your leaves. The natural depressions and veins of your leaf are captured in amazing detail.  Once cured, you can hang them or use them ornamentally in your garden.

 

Faux Finish on Leaves & Other Objects of Art

Seasoned leafers - this class is for you! Learn to create a variety of effects and hide flaws and runovers on your leaf casts. This class will combine the ancient art of patinization with modern day paint technology.

Hypertufa Planting Troughs

Come play in the mud and make a durable concrete planter that looks like ancient stone. Troughs are great for miniature connifers and plants, and ideal for fairy gardens. Container gardening is very popular, and hypertufa makes outstanding containers. In your second session, you'll unmold your trough and David will demonstrate planting and decorating suggestions.

 

Garden Gates for Fairies

These charming Garden Gates are a combination of cement, stained glass, and mosaics, and are limited only to your imagination! Your creation will be durable for your garden and perfect for a little surprise in a dark area. Fairies are inclueded and there are many choices to pick from.

Stained Glass Stepping Stones

Artist quality stained glass stepping stones taught by guest artist Glenn Van der Linden. From spring flowers to autumn leaves, our designs are always fresh and interesting. Even if it's your first time, your stone will turn out perfectly!

 

Mosaic & River Rock Birdhouse or Feeder

Artful lodging and dining for the birds! Mosaics can bring art and life to almost any surface: tables, dishes, patios and even birdhouses. David will lead you through building a birdhouse or bird feeder and then covering the exterior in a nature-inspired pattern of pebbles and mosaic materials. No two will be alike, but all will be functional for feathered friends. Our tray feeder has a lip to contain seeds and a roof to keep the birds dining experience nice and dry. Can be mounted to a post or hung.

 
 

Willow Furniture

Making rustic willow furniture will help to bring some nature into your garden or home. From small benches to full-sized chairs, you will learn the basics of working with swamp willow.

 

Gemstone Chakra Bracelet or Necklace

In making your own bracelet or necklace, you will create a unique combination of real gemstones to heal and balance your body's energies. The class will introduce the concept of the seven chakras and the gemstones associated with them. Your creativity will determine the ultimate design of the bracelet or necklace you choose to do.

Glass on Glass Stained Glass Window Hangings

Use one of our numerous pre-cut stained glass patterns to start your design. Then fill in with your choice of mosaic pieces and cut glass to create your one-of-a-kind framed stained glass picture. Your pattern is glued down to clear glass and grouted and cleaned, ready to display in a sunny window. No soldering required.

Creativity - Living in the Now and Walking Sticks

Create your own one-of-a-kind personalized walking stick with Mary Curran, Sienna and David. Our instructors will help you discover your spirit guide and awaken your creative process. Our sticks are made to be used! All supplies - leather, feathers, beads, etc. are included; however, if you have something special to add, bring it along.

 
 

Mosaic Garden Stakes

Our garden stakes are made from mosaic pieces and are easy and fun to do. You can choose between a butterfly, dragonfly, or fish.
